comanche seat
« on: April 09, 2010, 03:46:11 pm »

Hi, I'm a new guy with a longing for Roll-o-Flex's, I came across a comanche without a seat. Anyone got one or measurements for one. Thanks Hotdoo

I am just starting a resto on a Commanche and have  had my seat done by a talented gal called "penguin". She is in NH but has been doing work for folks all over the East and Central part of the country. I did happen to have the original seat foam for her to start with on this one and thought it came out very well. Here is a link to a site that shows some of her work:

Luckily, it is a fairly simple seat to re-configure from scratch! good luck!

Just got back from looking at what I believe is a '73 Comanche, the tool bag is still on the sled. The guy's had this for 6 years never tried to start it. He had it buried in the barn,I told him an easy way to get it out, knock out the stair threads going to upper level. We checked for spark and added some oil, rolled it over by hand, dropped some fuel down the plug hole and first pull it started. It does have a funky track, kind of a fas-trac with internal drives,he was a dealer and said that they came that way, they usually broke and you got a 1-piece replacement. WE're still dealing,I hope I get it.hotdoo

Any new pics? That seat Pathfinder has shown didn't look like the seat in the pics or the one I saw at A-1 show. hotdoo
