Anybody ever run the kohler fans as a free air? Studying my sled last night, wondering about the conversion. Already has twin carbs. Its a non original motor 440 but its the beefed up kohler that should make decent power, add twin pipes and go!

I would say you would have to keep a close eye on your temperature gauges, but anything is possible. Does it have a free air hood??

No free air hood yet. Did you get a spare hood with your latest aquisition?

I wouldn't recomend running it without the shrouding. You will end up with a melted motor. Even the F/A's melted if you worked them hard,jetting was off,  or it wasn't cold enough outside.
