I would like a thumb throttle for my 72 apache 292.

when converting the top end to a GP, and changing the carb to Hd i needed a bit more travel.

cracked it! It is operational but would like a replacement.

Thanks you for the comments. Yes that was mine.
I was not at the show Friday night as I had to take my daughter to her Halloween dance.

It did do fairly well as the top three sleds for peoples choice had 20 votes and the rollo got 16.

Still have not found the right track but am working on an old john dear or massey track.

Second I have 116 inch srx tracks, could i just use smaller front drivers and make this work, and if so would i just change my gear ratio by the same percentage that i went down in driver size?

Lastly. I just bought a 73 gp 292 that i was going to restore, but sled is not really my favorite.  I tore down the engine and it is in need of a complete rebuild.  water in bottom end...... Cylinder is measuring 72.75mm

What is the stock bore for a 292?
Could i put this cylinder and carb on my apache and make it a ss? Or in yamaha talk is the cylinder and single ring piston the only difference in the 292's?

I did the pt last October.

everything was in real nice shape the track is like new. The hood has not been repainted and all the decals are origonal.

It is pretty dirty as it has been sitting since last year.

i did take it out a few times last winter, but the carb on this thing is a real Bi^&@! Have had a hard time getting it set up right, and have enough other sleds to ride.

I bought it becouse of the first year, and The thought of the 372 single.

I have 5 or 6 srx spares but they are 116"

I also have two spare tracks of a 71 snow cruiser.(28 and 32) I will have to measure them tomorrow and see if they may fit. Do not want to spend big$$$$$ to get this running again as I just restored two srx's and the wife has been questioning the Visa bill.

I do know where there is a couple old john deers. The guy wants 150 for the whole sled. If track is good we could be in business.

Looking for a track for my 72 apache.

I have some conflicting info, is it 116 or 118.5 " long?

Has anyone tried putting an 78-80 srx track in them? I do have a few spares.

I am in!
I have a 72 292 apache, and a 69 pt 230 wildone.

Currently on the lookout for a track for my Apache!

I live outside of Edmonton Alberta. Yami's, rollo's and cruisers make up the majority of my collection, waiting for snow......
